Zebras live in the African savannah and are part of the equine family. The black and white stripes of zebras always form a unique combination. Even their mane is striped. This pattern serves as camouflage, destabilizes predators, protects them from mosquitoes, makes the heat more bearable and allows animals to recognize each other.
Fun fact: Zebras have brush-like manes because they are supported by a layer of fat.
