For the first six to eight months of its life, the Black Angus calf feeds on its mother's milk. The oxen of this breed grow very quickly. An 8-month-old calf can therefore already weigh between 160 and 180 kg. These animals come from Scotland, where the weather can be very cold and wet. That is why they are very hardy.
