The Indian rhinoceros lives in northeastern India. Due to the distinctive folds of its skin, the rhinoceros appears to be wearing armour. However, unlike its African cousin, it is very calm and peaceful. It spends most of its time feeding on grass, leaves, branches and fruit.
Fun fact: The rhino's skin is 4 cm thick, under which there is a thick layer of fat that can reach 5 cm.
