Tarantulas are among the largest spiders in the world. Unlike many other spiders, they do not weave webs but lie in wait for their prey, mainly frogs, mice and birds. You should not be afraid of them. Of course, tarantulas can bite but they are gentle and their venom is less dangerous than that of bees.
Fun fact: They are fragile animals. A simple fall from a low height can kill them.
