Carnotaurus is a typical representative of carnivorous predatory lizards. It ran on sturdy hind legs and had long, sharp teeth.

The Carnotaurus is a carnivorous predatory saurian from the Late Cretaceous period. It lived about 70 million years ago. The only one ever found was unearthed in Argentina. The Carnotaurus was 9 meters long and weighed about 1.5 to 2 tons. Its mouth was rounder than that of dinosaurs of the same family and its teeth resembled curved knife blades. It was certainly one of the most dangerous predators of its time.

Fun fact: The name Carnotaurus means “carnivorous bull.”
