The name Brachiosaurus literally means "armed lizard." It was so named because its front legs were significantly longer than its hind legs. This automatically oriented its long neck upwards, allowing it to eat plants at height without much effort.
Fun fact: The Brachiosaurus had a very mobile neck that could be up to nine meters long.
