Little Ella also loved to sing and dance. After a difficult adolescence, marked by the death of her mother, she began performing in the streets of Harlem to earn a living. She could never have imagined that one day, thanks to her immense talent, she would be known throughout the world and nicknamed the Grande Dame of Jazz.
