Right from the start of his new life, Clochat finds Palourd on a small farm in the countryside. There they meet Clarisse, the new hen in the henhouse. When she brags about being able to lay golden eggs, Clochat wants to know her secret at all costs. But does a hen that lays golden eggs really exist?
